When you contact Hygge Paws, complete one of our forms, book a service or use our services, we may collect information such as:

- Emergency contact details
- Booking and service information
- Communications between you and Hygge Paws
- Information you provide about your dog, including health, medication, behaviour, routines, feeding requirements and veterinary information
- Photos or videos where applicable
Information about a dog is not in itself personal data under GDPR, because GDPR protects information relating to identifiable people. However, information about your dog may form part of your customer record and be linked to you as its owner, so Hygge Paws handles this information carefully together with your personal information.

3. Why do we collect this information?
We process personal information where necessary to:
- Respond to enquiries
- Manage registrations and bookings
- Provide appropriate and safe care for your dog
- Contact you regarding your dog
- Contact your emergency contact when necessary
- Manage payments and administrative records
- Respond appropriately in an emergency
- Maintain records necessary for the operation of Hygge Paws
- Comply with applicable legal obligations
We only collect and use personal information for legitimate and specified purposes and aim to limit the information collected to what is necessary for those purposes, in accordance with the GDPR principles of purpose limitation and data minimisation.

5. Forms and Google services
Hygge Paws may use online services such as Google Forms and Google Drive to collect and securely organise information submitted through our registration and assessment forms.
When you submit a Hygge Paws form, the information you provide may therefore be processed and stored using services provided by Google.
Where third-party service providers process personal data on behalf of Hygge Paws, we take reasonable steps to ensure that appropriate data protection arrangements are in place.
6. Who do we share your information with?
We do not sell your personal information.
Your information may be shared only where reasonably necessary, for example with:
- Veterinary professionals in an emergency or when authorised by you
- Service providers used to operate Hygge Paws, such as IT, hosting, email, booking, payment or cloud-storage providers
- Public authorities where disclosure is required by law
We only share information that is necessary for the relevant purpose.

7. Photos and videos
Hygge Paws may take photos or videos of dogs during their time with us.
Permission to use photographs or videos for our website, social media or promotional purposes will be requested separately where appropriate.
Choosing not to give permission will not affect your dog's admission to or care at Hygge Paws.
If a photo or video contains an identifiable person, it may constitute personal data under GDPR.
Where publication is based on consent, that consent must be voluntary, specific, informed and unambiguous.
You may withdraw consent for future use of such material by contacting Hygge Paws.

8. How long do we keep your information?
We keep personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected or where we are required to retain it by law.
Customer and dog-care information is periodically reviewed and deleted when it is no longer reasonably necessary for providing our services, handling outstanding matters or meeting legal obligations.
Information that must be retained for accounting, tax or other legal purposes may be stored for the period required by applicable Danish law.
We also periodically review photos, videos and other material held for marketing purposes.

9. How do we protect your information?
Hygge Paws takes reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information against unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration, loss or destruction.
Access to customer information is limited to people who need the information in order to provide or administer Hygge Paws services.

Under GDPR, depending on the circumstances, you may have the right to:
- Request access to the personal information we hold about you
- Ask us to correct inaccurate information
- Request deletion of your information
- Request restriction of processing
- Object to certain processing
- Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent
